Users who want a local help experience can download the documentation in one of two ways after using SQL Server Setup to install the help viewer and related components:
For systems that are behind a firewall or proxy and have no access to the Internet go to a computer that has an internet connection and download the self-extracting EXE package on this page that contains the product documentation. Follow the instructions at the bottom of this page to extract the documentation and then use Help Library Manager to add the documentation to your local help collections.
For systems that have an Internet connection you do not need to use this download. Instead, launch Help Library Manager to configure the Help Viewer to use local help and download the Help collections.
