#Microsoft System Center Advisor Connector for Operations Manager Preview #sysctr

Overview

The System Center Advisor Connector for Operations Manager preview enables Operations Manager users to receive ongoing assessment of configuration for their windows computers. After installing the connector and selecting computers to be analyzed, Operations Managers users will be able to receive Advisor alerts in the Operations Manager console.
Supported operating systems: Windows Server 2012
This Preview requires Operations Manager 2012 SP1 with Update Rollup 2 installed. Complete Operations Manager system requirements can be found at : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj656654.aspx

Instructions

In order to install the Advisor Connector preview:

1. Download the MSI provided in this page
2. Extract the contents to a folder in your computer
3. Import the extracted MPBs into the Operations Manager Console

Service Manager Service Manager provides an integrated platform for automating and adapting your organization’s IT service management best practices, such as those found in Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). It provides built-in processes for incident and problem resolution, change control, and asset lifecycle management.	Virtual Machine Manager Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) is a management solution for the virtualized datacenter, enabling you to configure and manage your virtualization host, networking, and storage resources in order to create and deploy virtual machines and services to private clouds that you have created.
Unified Installer The Unified Installer is a tool that enables a single user-interface experience for the installation of seven System Center 2012 components. The Unified Installer provides a means of distributed installation from a central point using the existing Setup program of each component.

The console is easy to use, I just added my Mobile Server to the Console :

From that moment my Server is in controle by System Center Advisor and you get the alerts with the Microsoft advise :

 

 

Microsoft System Center Advisor send alert notifications by email, I get the email message on my Windows Phone 7.5. This keeps my Mobile Data Center Healty when you
take the right actions advised by System Center.

Microsoft System Center Advisor takes also snapshots of your Server configurations.
